I paid a quick visit to Lancaster Castle this weekend.
Lancaster Castle is definitely a proper castle. It looks like a castle. It feels like a castle. And there are some pretty awesome stories lurking behind its’ walls! The courtyard has just been opened up to the public for the first time in years, and there were hundreds of people milling around and making the most of the blazing sunshine.
Fortunately, I managed to narrowly avoid the attention of a group of patrolling Georgian guards, sidestepped a REAL SWORD FIGHT, and successfully made my way to the cafe rather than getting locked up in the dastardly dark dungeons.
I believe this is called a win.
